This is an event you will NOT want to miss!!!! The Daryl Davis Band is proud to perform on the first Southern Maryland Blues Festival. Anyone who has attended the Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival, knows the high quality and professionalism of this festival. Well guess what? The same promoter and crew are bringing their magic to Southern Maryland. There are some very good reasons to attend this festival. This is a very special event to me and I'm sure it has a place in all of your hearts as well. Each year money raised by this organization's festivals goes to benefit charities. All the money raised here at the Southern Maryland Blues Festival will go the organization to End Hunger In Calvert County www.EndHungerCalvert.org Did you hear what I said? All of the money. That's right, 100%!!!! It can be done folks, one county at a time. We need your help folks and right now Calvert County needs ours.
The next reason you will NOT want to miss this particular festival is along with my regular band featuring the dynamic Andy Poxon and the great Del Puschert, I will be presenting the Heir to the Throne. The next King of the Blues. You've heard of B.B. King, Albert King, Freddie King and Earl King. Now meet KINGFISH. He is a 14-year-old child prodigy from the Crossroads. That's right, the same Highway 61 & Highway 49 in the Clarksdale, Mississipi down in the Delta. You Blues fans have seen the movie Crossroads, know the song and know the story of Robert Johnson. So, you already are aware of the legendary mythical magic that goes on there. Is it real or just folklore? Find out for yourself. The only way to do it is to experience it firsthand. So, you best be at this festival. I will guarantee that you will believe in magic when you leave!!!! This will be a performance you will not forget and you will witness a king in the making who is destined to become a household name. This event will be held at the Calvert County Fairgrounds.
